Damaged tape repair (Video,Audio, Micro, DAT)

Broken or intentionally damaged/snapped video (and audio) tapes from old video cameras or players can be recovered and repaired / spliced together then transferred to digital media for enhancement

We have had many instances through the years of legacy tapes that are damaged or difficult to play. Utilising old video cameras or players these tapes can be repaired and transferred to digital media for further enhancement work.

We have worked on video tapes that have been intentionally damaged by suspects or (as in the Gulf War 2), recovered from Iraqi buildings bombed by coalition forces. These were successfully cleaned of all dust and debris, any damaged tape manually spliced together, then rehoused into new cassettes.

This process has been undertaken on VHS, VHS-C, Hi8, DAT, audio tapes and answer machine micro-cassettes with a high success rate.
